About Us
Flower Express is a family-run business based in the beautiful floral island of Jersey, the most southerly Island of the British Isles, famed for its unspoilt beauty and the yearly Battle of Flowers parade. Flower Express is owned and run by the Gallichan family who started farming here in Jersey in 1884. The youngest, Charles Gallichan, was the fifth generation to take over the reins of the farm when he inherited the farm in 2007.
The Island of Jersey is only nine miles by five, and our main farm site is located in the Parish of Trinity, up in the north of the Island. We grow many of the flowers ourselves and try to source as much as we can locally.
The farm is extremely diverse, growing a variety of vegetables, flowers, and even our own Jersey beef. Flower Express is an important part of our family business. Established in 1991, it has grown substantially and we’re very proud of the friendly service that our small team provides. Every order you send us by email, mail, or telephone comes through our office team, right here on the farm. The flowers are then prepared for dispatch straight out of the packing house on site.
Flower Express was originally established as a joint venture with the charity Marie Curie, with a donation from each package of flowers going directly to their fund. Over the years, our team raised over £240,000 for the charity. Moving forward, we were pleased to see the small business develop and grow in its own right.
As well as offering flower and gift orders online to our customers, Flower Express also run a mail order catalogue allowing you to order your bulbs, gifts, and flowers online. Please contact us should you require a flower express mail order brochure.
